Browser games from the 2000s-early 2010s.
While Flash was discontinued in 2020, most games are preserved through emulation.
To this day I still enjoy Hex Empire:

Age of War, another classic: https://www.miniplay.com/game/age-of-war
It also has a memorable music theme, "Glorious Morning": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7T_YtklLyyoI remember going on friv with my brother, the website is still up but there is barely any games on it anymore and probably has a shit ton of viruses on it. https://www.friv.com/I miss Flash tower defense games. The Protector series was great.

https://armorgames.com/play/11174/protector-ivvI just read this book and I really recommend it. Also I'll start reading the rest of the series, especially the Super Mario and FFVII ones. Interesting insights if you're into game design/development.
What have you been studying, anon?

I'm still playing the first one, on and off, in phases. I'm very far from beating it, and I heard mixed opinions on the second one. It's also pricey. I would maybe consider buying it with a huge discount or after a lot more time spent in the first one.

It's not technically complex game at all, it just needs a lot of painting work. It would have worked even in the most simple engines, like those used for VNs. Even the worst engines rarely struggle with changing 2d images on screen and supporting variables, arrays, loops and basic math.>>8 (OP)

Yeah PS2 and OG Xbox had so many good-great games on them. Also, 6th generation is the LAST game console generation in which every system works well on a CRT as opposed to Plasma and an LCD, as well as the last that had serious consideration for the NTSC and PAL TV standards of old.>>3 (OP)

I do now, after looking up what it means. Never did that. What I often ended up doing is playing almost entirely with the starter pokemon, going to level 100 and further. Only used other pokemons for the mandatory skills (cut, fly, etc.). In my experience you can beat all emerald with your mudkip.>>17
