>Humans have been alive for +300k years and we are about to experience the first time in history that the global birth rate is going to start dropping below replacement level (currently it is estimated to be 2.25) without it being caused by a natural disaster, disease or rapid climate change.
Think about it, the human species is projected to peak at 9-10 billion in around 2050 and, for all we know, we may never surpass that number. This century might be humanity's all time peak. Some person born in those years could be the human birth that beats the population record for the last time in history.
If we never get back to above replacement rates, we may be down to a few hundred million humans in a couple centuries. The people from that era will probably read about our times in history books (or whatever equivalent they have) and think "wow, to think there used to be so many humans. I wonder how life must have been back then" and to us that day will just be a regular day just like today.

The global trend is downwards, even in the most infamous third world countries:

Africans might be the last ones but they also will go down. Evidence clearly shows that as soon as people have more "confortable" lives, plus internet and phones, they stop having children.>Humans have been alive for +300k years and we are about to experience the first time in history that the global birth rate is going to start dropping below replacement level (currently it is estimated to be 2.25) without it being caused by a natural disaster, disease or rapid climate change.

would you die or would you envy the dead?
Lobo Antunes passed away last week and I was really shaken by that. He's my favorite Portuguese author and he always mogged Saramago in every possible way. It's a shame not a lot of people got to know him, but a few of his books were translated into English. It's really worth it.

I just read this book and I really recommend it. Also I'll start reading the rest of the series, especially the Super Mario and FFVII ones. Interesting insights if you're into game design/development.
What have you been studying, anon?

Now that the dust has settled, can we agree they promised everything and delivered nothing?

Because of Solana. 2022 was hard. Choose between Solana, Avax, Polkadot, and the other next gen chains. It was very hard to predict the winner.
In 2026 it's much easier. Now that the dust has settled, can we agree they promised everything and delivered nothing?
