Going back to the gold standard would actually accelerate the collapse of the economy. Because most of the economy since 2008 is working on money printing. You cannot declare profit, if you do not make profits, and if there is no money printer to make investors believe that there is actually profit.
2008-2015 economy was entirely on fake money.
2020-2022 as well.
