Would be nice to have. Several imageboards allow to use an embedded link as OP instead of a file, in this case a Youtube link. 4chan doesn't because it's stuck in the past, I think allowing .mp4s was the most they ever evolved.

Well, to be honest youtube videos always have a thumbnail that can be fetched by the client and embedded. So you're right, as posting youtube links can always result in posting an image too, the UI just needs to be clear about it (I just realized how).
